Today, she lives alone, rebuilding her life with courage, faith, and resilience, sustained by the strength to keep moving forward despite everything she endured.
Kamugwera François
Kamugwera Françoise, a survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, shares the painful story of losing her husband and all eleven of her children. After being left for dead in a mass grave, she miraculously survived and rebuilt her life from nothing. Today, despite lasting physical and emotional wounds, she continues to live with faith, resilience, and a deep belief that God saved her for a purpose.
