Agathe Habyarimana must face justice
Agathe Habyarimana must face justice: IBUKA welcomes the Paris Court of Appeal ruling Kigali, 7 May 2026. For survivors of the Genocide against the Tutsi, 6 May 2026 is a day that will be long remembered. The Paris Court of Appeal yesterday overturned the dismissal in the case against Agathe Habyarimana and ordered the judicial investigation to resume. After thirty-two years, the French justice system has reaffirmed what survivors have never stopped demanding: that crimes against humanity carry no expiry date, and that this must have real meaning.
