Where We Work
IBUKA headquarters are situated in the Kigali city, Kicukiro District where Nyanza Memorial site is built. IBUKA works all over the Rwandan territory and has various sections/units in every province/district of the country. The decentralization spirit which is being implemented in many institutions/organizations and associations has also touched IBUKA and to enhance its activities coordination, IBUKA counts its representatives on cells level. This helps the executive secretariat to know timely the survivor’s life situation wherever they are in the country as the cell representative must report to his hierarchical organs; those organs also report to the executive secretariat which takes the appropriate decision and makes advocacy whenever it is needed. However IBUKA does not operate only on Rwandan soil; it also has other organized groups outside Rwanda mainly in Europe, Canada and America.
